Perfect Bound Explained

You may have heard the term but what is Perfect Bound?

In simple terms a perfect bound book is a cover with the inside pages glued to the spine section to hold them all as one unit.  The pages are trimmed down to size and then glue is applied to the inside edge while the cover is then applied around the outside.  You will have seen it on Phone books, glossy magazines and hardback books.

Perfect binding is a popular method of finishing a larger page counts.  But for magazines anything over 60-70 pages it becomes necessary to perfect bind as there are very few options that look as good for the high page count.

You will see by the photos that the finish on our perfect binding is square and cleanly finished.

The spine folds over the collated pages housing them.

If you are unsure as to what finish you are after with your magazine then drop us a line.  We would love to help.
